CM1700

Class 08 Diesel Electric Shunter

Whilst the 08 design  was based on the LMS shunter of the mid 1940’s, our kit represents the 1950’s prototype. The body is cast in resin with metal handrails and ladders to be added. The footplate, buffer beams and dummy outside frames are formed up from a brass etch with whitemetal castings for details. The chassis is a screw together unit of steel and brass. It has a Mabuchi motor and preassembled gearbox with Slaters wheels, extended axles and cranks. The kit is complete with waterslide transfers and instructions.

Class 20 Diesel Electric Bo-Bo

Introduced in 1957, these diesel electric locos were widely used on the London Midland Region for freight work. They became very widely dispersed over other regions in later years. The kit will have two motors with all driven axles. The body will be cast in resin  for ease of assembly with the chassis in steel and brass. The introduction of this kit has been delayed and is now expected in 2009.

Class 121 Diesel Railcar

These railcars known as ‘Bubblecars’ were the first generation of B.R. DMU’s. First introduced in 1960, over the years they have appeared in a variety of liveries. The kit will consist of a one piece resin bodyshell (sides, ends, bulkheads & roof). The floor will be screwed to the shell to allow full detailing of the interior. The bogies will be brass and whitemetal with modified USA Trains chassis and scale wheels. This is a provisional specification. Full details will be announced later. Available 2008.
