Freelance Steam Outline Locomotive Body & Chassis Kits
All these bodies are constructed in plastic with whitemetal detailing parts such as smokebox door, tank filler, lamp and springs and include a full set of castings for cab detailing. They are designed to accept the GRS G125 or G126 chassis (see Narrow Gauge Electric Spares & Accessories).

Freelance 0-6-0 Tender Locomotive
This 0-6-0 model represents a common tender locomotive often found in many Colonial situations. It is designed to accept the G125 brass chassis and can be built with or without outside cylinders.
DG282 Freelance 0-6-0 Tender Loco Body Kit
Freelance 0-6-0 Overseas Tender Loco
This loco is produced using the standard DG282 body kit (above) with a DG279 detailing kit to convert the loco into a Colonial type. The standard G125 chassis is used as before.

Freelance 2-6-0 Mogul Locomotive Kit
This kit utilises a number of parts from our L&B Manning Wardle kit. The loco has a steel, nickel silver and brass bolt together chassis. Slater’s wheels and cranks are fixed to an extended shouldered steel axle with a pre-assembled motor/gearbox unit available in 45mm or 32mm gauge. Cylinders are cast resin with cast brass inserts. Valve gear is laser cut steel. The loco body is assembled from pre-cut formed plastic. The tender is of similar construction to the loco. Instructions are included.
