G64 Accessories

G Scale Standard Gauge Wheelsets

Manufactured by Slaters exclusively for GRS, these wheels use high quality materials throughout the manufacturing process. The tyres are turned from stainless steel bar, before being inserted into an accurate die block. The wheel centre boss is a brass turning, and once this is added, the spokes are formed from glass reinforced oil resistant nylon under a high pressure injection moulding process. The finished wheels are quartered and fitted to the 1/4” diameter hardened steel axle by a countersunk machine screw (not made by Slaters where marked *).

Electric Motor & Gearbox

PDG100This Motor / Gearbox combo is as used in the GRS loco kits. The unit consists of a Bühler or Mabuchi motor with flywheel and brass reduction gearbox with bronze gears and steel worm.

Steam Motor & Gearbox

ML500This Steam Motor / Gearbox combination is as used in the steam version of our G64 Pannier. The unit consists of a twin cylinder, double acting, self starting steam motor attached to a brass 4:1 or 5:1 reduction gearbox.

Working Locomotive Lamps

Manufactured in cast brass, these head and tail lamps are completely self-contained, requiring no external power supply. The locomotive lamp body is painted in white enamel and holds LED, batteries and a switch fitted in the lamp-top vent. lamps are FG240supplied complete with batteries.
